DISCOVERY CHURCH - SIMI VALLEY, CA


This project embodies the basic technology applications in the modern Christian house of Worship. Custom Rear projection video and a true LCR audio system and well planned automated theatrical lighting, make this facility a stand out RD project.

The main sanctuary utilizes Electro-Voice speakers in a true LCR configuration along with dual 18" subwoofers and 8" 2 way fill speakers concealed beneath the stage lip. The worship band typically plays at 100dB and keeps almost all the vocals in the center cluster for excellent intelligibility and excellent musical imaging. The main rack utilizes an EAW Commercial 8 x 8 Digital Matrix Mixer and QSC PLX series amplifiers.

The 15' rear projection screens are custom fit within the architectural detail and provide
high visual impact and unsurpassed viewing angles from every seat in the sanctuary.
All program material is high resolution VGA format amplified with Kramer Electronics components.

The theatrical lighting is comprised of 8 Robe 250aAT CYM color changers, 8 Robe 250AT moving yokes and 2 Robe 575AT CYM color changers along with ETC Source Four pars and lekos. Dimming and controls are all Leprecon with an LPX-24 console running the entire stage
House lighting is also run via Leprecon 12 x 24o watt dimmers and remote Litescape control panels.

The DK Kidz Children's Ministry Theater is also controlled by Leprecon Litescapes while the theatrical system employs a ShowD esigner 2 and a variety of Elation Automated moving yokes and conventional pars and ETC lekos..
