MUSEUM OF LATIN AMERICAN ART
PHASE 2 - LONG BEACH, CA

Exterior RGB LED lighting has some special requirements in regards to power and data distribution. The existing structure and new façade made all of this quite simple and the visual results are stunning.

RD used over 130 sections of Acclaim X-bar 500 RGB units and 8 X-Bar 875's to accomplish the look. The inherent quality and IP65 rating of the fixtures made installation easy, and the mounting system was simple behind the newly created facade.

Data distribution was challenging because of the sheer size of the building and the distances but high quality cable from the manufacturer and Doug Fleenor DMX Opti-Isolators made everything work flawlessly.

Programming was done with an Elektralite controller and Macro playbacks are automated with an extremely cost-effective Elektralite CP-3 device.

The possibilities for visual effects are endless in this scenario and the LED's can easily be seen from a couple blocks away, making this a facility that creates a grand destination for all their evening events.
