After 50 years in business this long time client has remodeled and moves into the future looking real good! Video and new speakers as well as a custom wall lighting system that has never been done in a roller rink before….
Serving the community for fifty years, Skateland has become a landmark destination in Northridge, CA and has seen everything from Roller Hockey to Roller Disco. We couldn’t resist leaving the mirror balls and even added four Elektralite 250 watt automated luminaires for some wild effects.
The most unique feature is the wall around the entire rink that uses custom framing and frosted high -impact acrylic to conceal the 7000 lamps behind. These are controlled by the same Elektralite CP-10xT DMX controller as the rest of the rink effects and provide a dramatic visual effect yet to be duplicated in any other skate facility.
The audio is a simple affair with 16 15″ 2 way speakers aimed for minimal reflection and maximum stereo imaging. Power is by QSC RMX series amplifiers and the mixer is Rane. All processing is DBX.
This a good example of an “RD” system that is built to be simple, budget conscious and designed to provide high impact and minimal maintenance.
