Ember Cafe and Music Club — Anaheim, CA

Southern California is no stranger to artistic creativity and RD created a great opportunity to show some of it’s best in this unique facility.

The main dance floor audio system is comprised of eight QSC MD Series 12” 2 way speakers and four ceiling mounted QSC dual 18” subwoofers. Everything is powered by QSC Cx and RMX amplification and processed by a DBX 4800 DSP. The entire system is power managed by a LYNTEC sub-panel with motorized breakers for ease of On/Off function and simple fire system interface.

The upper restaurant lounge, patio, restrooms and VIP room consists of another DBX DSP, QSC amplification and a combination of QSC recessed and surface mount speakers. The upper lounge has dual 50” video monitors supplemented with QSC AD-S82H speakers for excellent satellite audio as well.

The video system consists of three Sanyo projectors on a custom frosted rear wall of the main bar to allow viewing from both the interior and from the exterior patio. The upper lounge area also has a 5000 lumen Sanyo that projects on a custom 12’ x 20’ screen that also acts as a sunshade in the early lunch and brunch operating hours.

Once again, the RD detail to architainment lighting is over the top with hundreds of feet of Acclaim X-Bar RGB LED fixtures to back light every seating cabana and VIP room. Custom barn doors on sixteen Elation RGB Brick-12 fixtures illuminate the massive wooden beams that support the roof structure.

A custom application of simplified DMX playback control and several Acclaim X-Bar-HP LED fixtures supply massive drama to the back bar location at the end of the room. Eight Elation Design Spot 250’s create plenty of movement and energy to the entire space. An Elation Show Designer 2CF controls the dance floor scenes.

Attention to detail and a great architectural pallet make Ember an excellent RD example of million dollar results on a much smaller budget.
